Former Olympian Cliff Meidl was our featured speaker at an event celebrating California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) OSHA Training Institute (OTI) Education Center’s 10th anniversary. The event was held on November 2 in the Extended Education Auditorium on the CSUDH campus.
In addition to Meidl, other speakers at the event included Dan Leiner, Manager of the Cal-OSHA Consultation Unit, Dr. Michael E. Spagna, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at CSUDH, and Abner Estrada, Project Engineer at Turner Construction.
The CSUDH OSHA center is just one of 26 nationwide, and the only such center based in the Los Angeles area. “Our OSHA Training Institute has become the hub of safety training in the Los Angeles area,” said CSUDH OTIEC Director Raul Guzman. “Our 10 years in operation and re-certification by OSHA is an acknowledgment of the quality occupational safety and health training we have been offering for a decade as an OSHA Training Institute, and the decades more we have been offering safety training.”
